It also treats excessive sweating in areas such as the underarms, hands and feet.

Frequently Asked Questions
The botulinum toxin is produced by the Clostridium botulinum bacteria. For decades, it has been used to treat neurological diseases characterized by muscular hypertonia (too much muscular tone) or exaggerated or abnormal muscular contractions (such as dystonia). Additionally, it is commonly used in much smaller doses for cosmetic purposes to treat expression wrinkles on the face.
Botox works gradually, and the final results will be visible after about fifteen days. We systematically offer you an appointment 15-20 days after your treatment for a free follow-up session. If a small correction is deemed necessary to perfect the first session, the units of Botox will be offered by the clinic.
Micro-injections of botulinum toxin block the receptors of sweat glands in the armpits, hands, or feet. Local anesthesia is necessary for hands and feet. After applying a spray of xylocaine, Dr. Roux quickly and with minimum pain administers the micro-injections. The procedure lasts about 40 to 60 minutes, including anesthesia.
